Who we are
PythonCook is a product of Aperintel Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17250572). By creating an account or using PythonCook you agree to these terms. Questions come to us through aperintel.com.
The service
PythonCook teaches you to read, debug, and reason about Python. The learning content, codeground, and saved progress are free to use. PythonCook Plus is an optional paid upgrade ($9.99 per month) that raises your daily AI coach quota and unlocks stronger models. We may improve, change, or retire features over time; if a change materially reduces what Plus gives you, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current month.
Your account
PythonCook is built for adults; you must be at least 16 to create an account. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
Acceptable use
- Use PythonCook lawfully and only for learning.
- Do not abuse the shared AI quota: no automated requests, no scripting the coach, no using it as a general-purpose API.
- Do not attempt to probe, attack, or work around the platform, the codeground sandbox, or the quota and billing controls.
- Do not scrape, copy, or republish the learning content, and do not resell access to the service.
- Do not submit content that is unlawful, or paste other people's personal data or confidential material into the coach.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close a paying account for abuse, fees already paid for the current period are not refunded.
AI-generated answers
The coach's answers are generated by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. They are a learning aid, not professional advice. Test and verify anything you go on to use in real projects; the whole point of PythonCook is that you become able to do exactly that.
Your work and our content
Code you write in the codeground and in exercises is yours. The learning content, curriculum, design, and platform are ours or our licensors', and we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them while you have an account.
Billing, cancellation, and refunds
Plus renews monthly and is billed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal on your profile; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right after first subscribing: ask us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Beyond that, if something has gone wrong on our side, contact us and we will put it right or refund fairly.
Liability
PythonCook is provided with reasonable skill and care, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
Changes and governing law
If we make material changes to these terms we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you additional protection.
